If Queen had made a Beatles-style psychedelic ‘Flash Gordon’ cartoon …
Whilst working on some ‘Yellow Submarine’ pictures, I had the idea of portraying Queen, 60s-style, with the aptly yellow War Rocket Ajax from ‘Flash Gordon’.
Also, any fan of Queen will know that two of their albums shared names with Marx Brothers movies - so, to the film poster of ‘A Night at the Opera’ I added caricatures of the band - depicting Freddie as Groucho, Roger as Chico, and Brian May, naturally, as the curly-haired Harpo.
Thanks to Pinterest I could gather together all of these images onto a board called ‘Beatles and Queen’.
